How to pick the right pack.
A 4-step shortlist that gets you out of the shop with the right battery. Skip steps and you'll be back in a week.
Match the voltage.
48V to 48V, 36V to 36V. Mixing voltages cooks the controller. The number is printed on your existing pack β bring a photo if you're not sure.
Don't skip βThen capacity (Wh).
Watt-hours = range. Roughly 1 Wh per 100 m of pavement riding, so a 614 Wh pack gets you 60β80 km if you're not flooring the throttle. More Wh = more weight and more cost.
Range calculator βConfirm the fit.
Frame-integrated packs are bike-specific β the dock, the keyway and the connector must match. Send us your bike year and model, we'll confirm in 5 minutes.
Fit checker βPick a charger.
Standard 2A chargers take ~6 hrs. The 4A "fast" charger cuts that to 3 hrs and doesn't shorten cell life on quality packs. We sell a travel charger you can keep at the office.
All chargers βTell us your bike β we'll show you what fits.
Frame-integrated batteries are picky. The dock cut-out, the key, the BMS firmware, even the plastic clip color matters. Pick your bike below; we'll filter to only the packs we know fit, plus the chargers compatible with that voltage.

What we get asked
every week.
Three years of phone calls boiled down. If your question isn't here, text us β we read every message.
- How long do eBike batteries last?
- Quality Samsung-cell packs hold 80% of their capacity for around 800 full charge cycles β that's roughly 5 years for a daily commuter, or 8+ for a weekend rider. Cheaper unbranded cells start to fade noticeably after 18 months. We only sell packs with name-brand cells (Samsung, LG, Panasonic).
- Can I install a bigger battery on my bike?
- Sometimes. The voltage has to match exactly β a 48V controller won't run a 52V pack safely. Capacity (Ah/Wh) can usually go up if the BMS is compatible. The bigger question is whether the new pack physically fits the frame dock β that's the part we measure for in the shop.
- What's the difference between OEM and universal?
- OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) packs are made for one specific bike β the dock, key, connector and firmware all match. Universal packs are usually external-rack mounted, with standard XT60 or DC connectors. OEM costs more but plugs straight in.
- Can I fast-charge without hurting the battery?
- Yes, on quality packs. The 4A "fast" chargers we sell still take 3 hours for an 80% charge β that's well below the cell's safe charge rate. What kills cells is heat, so don't charge in a hot garage. Below freezing? Charge it inside.
- Do you take old batteries?
- Free old-pack disposal, even if you didn't buy from us. We hand-deliver them to Call2Recycle Calgary every Friday. Bring it in dead β don't ship it.
- Will my warranty be voided if I buy a third-party pack?
- Often yes, especially on Surface 604 and Michael Blast. Read the fine print on your bike warranty. The OEM packs we sell maintain coverage; aftermarket packs typically don't (but might cost half as much).
Rather we did it?
